Keeping it simple
PocketForge LLC likes to keep things simple for our users. Be it our Apps or our Privacy Policy, we believe we should give only as much information as you need to use our tools effectively, and nothing else that could get in the way.
To that end, we hope to preset the simplest privacy policy possible. If any of this ever changes, we will update this policy to reflect that. If you have any questions at all, please email us at privacy@pocketforge.com.
PocketForge LLC does not collect any data.
Zero. That’s how much data PocketForge LLC collects. That’s it. As we don’t collect any data, we don’t store any data. That’s all there is to it.
Google AdMob and Analytics DO collect data.
We’re a very small company, so we use two tools provided by Google that allow us to measure how our apps are performing and to serve ads to you to generate revenue. As we only develop for the Apple iOS platform, the amount of data that is shared is extremely limited.
Apple advertisingIdentifier
Apple provides to developers a piece of data called the advertisingIdentifier, this is a unique identify that allows developers (and 3rd parties) to identify a specific device (phone, table, computer, etc..), however this does not correlate to a particular user, and it is completely optional to share this identifier.
On your iOS device, if you go to Settings > Privacy > Tracking > Allow Apps to Request to Track is On and enable this option, or if you’re prompted for this option and allow it, you will share this unique identifier with Google AdMob and Analytics. If you choose not to allow this, then this dat is not shared. That’s al there is to it. This does not mean that you will not see ads, you will still be presented with them. They will just not be as targeted as they might be if you were to share the advertisingIdentifier. The choice is yours.
More technical details about the advertisingIdentifier can be find on Apple’s website here.
Google AdMob and Analytics
The 3rd party tools that we use, Google AdMob and Google Analytics only have access to the the Apple advertisingIdentifer mentioned above. To see what Google may do with that information, please read over Google’s own privacy policy here.
This policy is effective July 1, 2023.
